Fingolfin (4690 Year of the Trees - 455 First Age of the Sun) is a fictional character from the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. He is an elf featured in the book The Silmarillion. He was the second son of Finwë and the elder of Fëanor’s two half-brothers. After the Noldor fled back to Middle-earth, he became their High King and ruled his people in Hitlum. He was killed by the Dark Lord Morgoth in a man-to-man battle. He is said to be the bravest and bravest of the elves[1].

Origin and youth Finwë grieved after the death of his first wife Míriel, with whom he had a son, Fëanor. It was only his love with the beautiful Indis, who was from Vanyar, that made him happy again. With her he had sons Fingolfin and Finarfin. However, Fëanor did not love Indis or her sons very much, which later led to a rift between the Noldor. Fingolfin took Anairë as his wife, with whom he had three sons, Fingon, Turgon, Argon, and a daughter, Aredhel.
